Concrete Showers, Walls, Terrazzo and Furniture Explained
Beyond floors and counters, specialty concrete includes shower walls, vertical overlays, terrazzo surfaces, and custom-cast furniture.
A category for everything beyond floors and counters
Specialty Concrete is the catch-all for decorative projects that aren’t standard flooring or counters. Common projects:
- Concrete shower walls — vertical overlays for shower surrounds. Modern, monolithic look.
- Vertical wall overlays — feature walls in living spaces, entryways, accent areas.
- Terrazzo surfaces — modern epoxy terrazzo or traditional cementitious terrazzo for floors or surfaces.
- Custom cast furniture — coffee tables, side tables, fire pit surrounds, planters, vanity tops.
- Concrete sinks and tubs — integrated or stand-alone sink and tub designs.
- Fireplace surrounds — modern monolithic concrete surrounds.

How specialty projects work
Most are shop-built. We design with you, fabricate in the shop where curing is controlled, then deliver and install. The exception is vertical wall overlays and shower walls — those are built on-site.
Materials vary by project. GFRC (glass-fiber reinforced concrete) is common for furniture and counters. Traditional concrete is used for cast-in-place architectural elements. Polymer-modified mixes are used for vertical overlays.
