Cooler, Safer Pool Deck Resurfacing in Austin
Cooler, slip-resistant, better-looking finishes for tired pool decks.

Our Approach to Pool Decks
A resurfaced pool deck stays cooler underfoot, grips better when wet, and looks far better than tired, slick concrete. We use cool-deck spray textures and overlay systems suited to Austin's pool-heavy, sun-exposed suburbs.
Cooler underfoot, safer when wet
Two big problems with bare Austin pool decks: they get scalding in August sun, and they turn slick the moment they’re wet. Both have the same fix — a heat-reflective, slip-resistant cool-deck finish over the existing slab.
Cool-deck spray vs. overlay finish
The cool-deck spray texture is the classic for Texas heat: an acrylic spray on a knockdown finish that reflects sun and stays cooler underfoot. For a higher-end look, we stamp a travertine or flagstone overlay and seal it with a UV-stable, slip-rated sealer. Both options keep the deck barefoot-friendly through Austin summers.
Built for sun-exposed Hill Country decks
Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, Dripping Springs — pool decks here see direct afternoon sun for years on end. We pick finishes and sealers that hold up to that, then build a reseal interval into your quote so the deck stays sharp.

FAQ
Pool Decks: Your Questions Answered
Will my new deck really stay cooler? +
Yes. Cool-deck spray textures and light-color finishes can drop surface temperature by 15 to 25 degrees compared to bare gray concrete in full sun. It's a noticeable difference barefoot.
How slip-resistant are these finishes? +
Very. Spray textures and knockdown finishes are designed for poolside grip even when wet. We add anti-slip aggregate if you want even more.
What about color through Texas summers? +
We use UV-stable acrylic and polyaspartic sealers. Plan on a reseal every 3 to 5 years to keep color and slip-resistance fresh.
